How Moms Can Make Money Online - Part I

There are ways Pinoy moms or any stay-at-home moms can earn extra on the side. Our moms probably did the Avon gig or the neighborhood bake sale bake back in the day. For our generation, we're fortunate we have the web opening up new freelancing opportunities for us.

Personally, I make good with blogging, earning money through adsense or pay per click providers. Okay, so I'm on google welfare :)

So the option of being a problogger is pretty cool if you enjoy writing. The joy of blogging is that you don't have to go through hell, writing. You don't need to be a professional writer that can command a certain tone or a voice with her work. Its not like writing for a magazine, there is no editorial eye and its pretty easy, all you have is your own thoughts and words to make you money.

Whatever you have to write, make it short, concise, but with enough information. People surfing often skim through the meat of it. So making outlines or highlighting words using bullets are a pay off.

I would suggest using blogger or blogspot as a starting point, its very convenient and easy to manage. Its ideal for newbies and lately, they have incorporated a "monetize" option in blogger, that is if you don't want to go through setting up the adsense code yourself.

Well, blogging is a good passive income. Its like planting little seeds, over time you will eventually enjoy its fruits and perhaps even marvel at all the things you've ever written.

Bakers Depot @ Waltermart, Makati

Bought some new pans today, gelatin and baking ingredients at the Bakers Depot at Waltermart, Makati. This cozy shop has good Buy 1-Take 1 bargains like baking utensils and packaging. I like that the shop is very accessible and I can easily run off to get some goods for baking emergencies.

Cheap baking supplies can also be found in Quiapo and at that fairytale-like castle near Camp Crame in Quezon City.

Jimuel Pacquiao - Manny Pacquiao's eldest son celebrates Birthday

More info at GMA News TV Photo source GMA News TV

Jimuel Pacquiao, Manny Pacquiao's eldest son celebrated his 8th Birthday at the posh Vivere Hotel in Alabang. Manny and Jinky Pacquiao arrived straight from Gensan. Among those invited are celeb kids and Jimmuel's classmates from Brent International school. It was a very grand Transformers birthday party theme and local news crews bothered with a live telecast from Alabang as Manny showed up to give his big birthday boy Jimuel a hug. Mind you, the kid though camera-shy is very cute and takes after his mother's pretty features.

The Pambansang Kamao took a much needed break from his training, he is scheduled to fight Rick Hatton this 2009.

Cow and the Candy Panda

Tita Janussy came by one day to give my dear cow his post Christmas present. He spent the day counting the candy inside the panda and hugging the thing for hours. Call it sugar love!

I've always denied him candy- menthol candy, lollipops, mentos, bubblegum. The kind he would like to crackle with his teeth, I don't know why he wouldn't just settle on sucking on it. But trying to crack hard candy with his baby teeth just disturbs me. Hence, he rarely gets hard candy (but he does get chocolate). So understandably, comes his excitement and energy over this Panda with treats!

One thing I love about Cow, as much as he loves candy, he also enjoys brushing his teeth. He has two toothbrushes, his spiderman toothbrush and his brand new electric dolphin toothbrush which deserves another post =)

My Little Tumbleweed

As early as 6 months old, my babycow has been doing these tumbles and funny poses. Now he calls it his droideka mode, a kind of robot that transforms into a stealth assassin.

The droideka, also called the destroyer droid or wheel droid, was a type of heavy battle droid used by the Trade Federation and the Confederacy of Independent Systems in the StarWars universe.

He would go at it during playtime, I like poking fun at him until he unfurls!

Safety belts on, hit the brakes!

Some Quotes for these hard times, how apt with the global recession in play:

The only reason we all go to work in the morning is because we're terrified of what would happen if we stopped.

Nothing very very good and nothing very very bad ever lasts for very very long.

- Douglas Coupland, Generation X

Whole sight or all the rest is desolation
John Fowles

Cow Cow's Drawing

My son's drawing using markers. He says all the lines are roads and cars crashing.
